Life is a Journey and LOVE is CHOICE
Commanding that life give you what you want is a choice. Not to say that the choice will always be easy but at least you do have options. You can choose to live and be happy today as who you are and were you are. A person does not make you happy, they enhance the happiness that you already have within. If you want to receive the love you must become that love.....then it will find you. Work to become a better you first!

Deborrah Cooper is a seasoned writer, social
researcher, advice columnist and the author of a controversial new book entitled
"The Black Church – Where Women Pray and Men Prey." Based on the
shocking 2010 blog post that had CNN, Al Sharpton, Michael Baisden, Michael
Eric Dyson, Al Joyner and all of Black America in an uproar: The Black Church:
How Black Churches Keep African American Women Single and Lonely! (Read the
article here: http://survivingdating.com/?p= 1229)
The book continues an uncomfortable examination of the power of churches in the black community, non-biblical tenets of the prosperity gospel, and the games played by unscrupulous black preachers. This page-turning book also contains dozens of real-life stories of financial and sexual abuses by Pastors, Ministers, Bishops, and church members, along with astute observations about the games being run on women in churches across the nation.
For black women brave enough to question their religious leaders, willing to take a look at what is going on at their churches, and strong enough to demand protection from predatory men for women and children within the walls of the House of God, this book is right on time. And for the black women and children that have personally experienced the travesties of which the author writes, the book validates their reality and gives them a voice.

As owner of New Jersey-based Double XXposure, Ellerbee’s success in the industry as a publicist, imagemaker, artist manager, and artist developer is well-documented. It is written across the pages of the many magazines that have covered his artists; it is reflected in the demeanors of those who have listened to his advice and adopted his principles; it is advocated by professionals who use it as a reference for their students, clients and colleagues.
Ellerbee’s client roster is deep and diverse, including the likes of Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Roberta Flack, Dionne Warwick, DMX, and Nina Simone. Outside of music, Ellerbee has touched the careers of author Smokey Fontaine, radio personality Angie Martinez, athlete Shannon Briggs and models Iman and Naomi Campbell; he has handled publicity for entertainment executives, fashion stylists, actors, and ministers; he has been the brainchild behind the creation of various events and foundations, and has marketed and publicized numerous Broadway plays and films, including “American Gangster,” “Native Son,” “Exit Wounds” and “Never Die Alone,” which he executive produced.
In 2000, Kaplan University incorporated Ellerbee’s Charm School program into its curriculum and continues to use it today to instruct students on proper social and business etiquette. In 2006, Harper Collins released his book, “What’s Your Excuse,” a detailed outline of the business and personal skills needed to navigate the often treacherous waters of the entertainment industry.

Perhaps it is the glimmer of mystery and mischief in his eyes. . . or, it may be the colorful characters he portrays. . .or the legendary status of Mr. Antonio Fargas is best explainable by a combination of these and a number of other factors. Through the unique intersection of variables of his delightful versatility and extraordinary talents, Antonio Fargas has entered his image into national and international folklore. He achieved a worldwide audience through his role on “Starsky and Hutch” as the incorrigible and lovable “Huggy Bear” launching a path to credits far more extensive.
Since his initiation into the world of film at the age of 14 in Shirley Clark’s Coal World, he has been noted for the unforgettable characters he creates. Whether perfecting outrageously comedic characters in such films as Robert Downey Sr.’s Putney Swope and Keenan Ivory Wayan’s I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, or “chilling” the audience through a convincing rendition of a 90-year old witch doctor in the Broadway play, The Great White Hope, with James Earl Jones and Jane Alexander.
Antonio’s performances have generated a near-endless array of enthusiastic acclaim from some of the industry’s most respected critics of film, television and stage. His character range has won him acclaim for his sensitive character portrayals of the homosexual roles of Bernstein in Paul Mazursky’s Next Stop, Greenwich Village with Shelley Winters, Christopher Walken and Jeff Goldblum and for his role as Lindy in Carwash with Richard Pryor, George Carlin and The Pointer Sisters. These two roles also earned him mention in the film book “The Collective Closet”.

LARRY DUNN
For many of us, Earth, Wind & Fire has been an elemental part of our musical experiences since childhood, making us dance, sing and, more often than not, inspiring us to simply pause to observe or think. Among the many names and faces associated with the legendary band, Larry Dunn is one that stands out in the minds of fans, tastemakers and musicians.
As the band’s keyboardist and musical director, Dunn helped to meld soul, jazz, R&B, funk and rock into a sound that became the band’s signature. It was a sound that transformed Earth, Wind & Fire into one of the most successful bands in the world, with sales of more than 100 million albums worldwide, six GRAMMYs, 13 GRAMMY nominations, four American Music Awards, 32 gold and platinum/multi-platinum records and albums, a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2000) and the Songwriters Hall of Fame (2010).
Larry Dunn will be our guest on Thursday June 21, 2012 in the first hour. Join us for another interview of a Living Legend of our time.
